Aortic segmentation of 4D flow PCMRA images using deep learning techniques

For cardiologists, inspecting the vascular structures is of very high importance to assess and manage aortic valve abnormalities in the patients. The accurate segmentation of ascending aorta helps quantify blood flow for assessing the cardiovascular system for Aorta Regurgitation in patients with Bicuspid aortic valve. Hence in this project a fully automated segmentation model is developed using deep learning techniques that aids in the fast and reproducible evaluation of aortic dimensions and flow.
